Mirror, mirror

Well... I enjoyed so much drawing and coloring the Darkness (no, not Doyle... my own Darkness) that... here I go again!

This time I didn't want to make something erothic. It's a sad character, and I wanted to show a little of her tragedy, especially in her expression. My husband described her as "the lady with the saddest eyes I've ever seen". It isn't something as simple as a broken heart... more like "I've lived a lot, done a lot, regret a lot" kind of look. I didn't want her to look like some stupid emo-girl, because she isn't; she's old, and live hasn't been gentle with her. She did big mistakes, too, and had the courage to face them... and try to make them better.

The reflection is her, like she was. Everybody keeps telling me she's better now. One my friends said: "she was like every other sidhe before, now she's unique!". Moreso, I think she did look like some kind of Barbie girl crossed with a Larry Elmore's Laurana xD Now, she's exotic.

Exotic is cool!
